Dubai: Current overall Order of Merit leader in the Al Naboodah Junior Par 3 Series, Rayhan John Thomas of Dubai Creek Golf and Yacht Club, extended his lead by taking the honours in the fifth event at Emirates Golf Club last week.

Thomas won courtesy of a countback against Abu Dhabi City Golf Club's Jack Novack, who also finished play with 28.

Although Novack missed out on the top spot, his 28 was strong enough to award him the title in the Boys Over-12 category, where he finished one shot ahead of Emirates Golf Club's Jordi Menkhorst, who carded a 29 and walked away with second place.

It was a family affair in the Boys Under-13 Division where Dhrur and Rishi Nair, both of Dubai Creek Golf and Yacht Club, shot an impressive pair of 30s.

Dhrur shortened his deficit during play by shooting birdies on the 8th and 9th; however, his brother Rishi was just too accurate and gladly accepted the podium finish after forcing the second countback of the day.

Kim Chang of Dubai Creek Golf and Yacht Club, who shot a strong 34, was pushed into second place by The Address Montgomerie Dubai's Anastasia Bakal, who carded 33 and claimed the Girls Under-13 tiara. The trophy in the Girls Over-12 category was presented to Sharjah Golf and Shooting Club's Boushra Dalile who finished play with 36.

Current leader of the Girls' Order of Merit category, Amelia McKee, took third in the Girls Under-13 Division, but maintains a slight lead over winner Bakal.
