Dubai: Rayhan Thomas finished on four-over-par 148 (72, 76) to win the men’s division of the Emirates Golf Federation’s (EGF) Order of Merit Championship by seven strokes at The Els Club on Saturday.

Zi Hao Su came second with rounds of 82 and 73 for a total of 155, and was separated by a better back nine from third-placed Andrew Smolak, who carded rounds of 77 and 78.

Kim Chiang followed up a first-round 76 with a new women’s course record of 67 on day two and recorded a tournament best one under par total of 143 to win the women’s division.

Anastasia Bakal finished four shots back with rounds of 77 and 70 for an event total of 147. Sahana Parvantavida came third with two 78s to total 156.

Elsewhere, Tiago Lobo fired two 73s to total 146 to win the junior division by eight strokes. Dhruv Nair came second with rounds of 78 and 76 for 154, while Aarkesh Bhatia bounced back from an 85 with an impressive 71 to salvage third with a total of 156.

Separate prizes went to the lowest rounds on each day with Thomas, Chiang and Lobo taking honours on day one with a respective 72, 76 and 73. Ryan Hunter, Chiang and Bhatia took honours on day two with a respective 70, 67 and 71.
