DUBAI : The Indian Golf Society swept all before them to return a remarkable set of stableford better ball scores and lift the Inter Golf Society Championship at Dubai Creek Golf and Yacht Club by a wide margin.

With the four pairs representing each society and the best three pairs' scores to count, K.J. Singh and Mukesh Kochhar carded a huge 49 points and were backed up by Anand Lakhani and Kurup Devanand who amassed 44 points with Kush Sama and Farad Lakdawala's 38 contributing to the remarkable total of 131 points and a winning margin of nine points. Runners-up were the Korean Golf Society on 122 and in third place were The Jiggers Golf Society on 110.

The Indian Society's non-playing captain, Joseph Andrade, said: “It was a wonderfully organised event and the Indian Golf Society players played fantastically well.
