What advice would you give to other budding young sports stars?
Just enjoy the game, keep practising, but have fun. Anytime you get in trouble, just laugh and enjoy the challenge.
Who is your sporting role model?
I’ve had the pleasure of meeting the golfers Martin Kaymer and Melissa Reid. They were extremely encouraging and supportive of my game.
What is your ultimate ambition in sport?
To win a professional tournament on tour. but I’ve got a long way to go. I’ll enjoy trying. If achieved, the next goal would be a Major.
What got you into your sport?
When I was four years old, my brother Sa’ad entered an under-11s driving range competition. After the boys had finished, I cracked it 50 yards and won.
At what moment did you get serious about a career in sport?
The big turning point was playing in the British Ladies Open pre-qualifier against professionals for the first time aged 14.
