Dubai: The Dubai Creek Golf and Yacht Club 2008 Ramadan Open sponsored by Titleist, Foot-Joy and Cobra to be staged this Friday has witnessed a staggering number of entries.

"We have received a record number of entries for a single shotgun start event of 196 players and unfortunately we only have space for 108.

"As advertised the field will be determined by a handicap ballot and all entries will be informed of the draw via e-mail.

"Dubai Creek would like to thank in advance all the players for entering and showing support for the event and also Pro Sports for their valued sponsorship," said David Gray, Golf Operations Executive at Dubai Creek.
