Dubai: Arabian Ranches Golf Club has announced that entries are now being accepted for the Callaway Single Figure Spring Golf Challenge on April 11.
The event has attracted 35 entries so far with an initial handicap limit of 12. Included in the early list are defending champion John Mills (Scr) and the in-form Tony Dougherty (3).
The tournament will be played from the Black Tees which play up to a maximum of 7,691 yards, par 72. The tournament was won in 2006 by Khalid Yousuf (EGC) and by Johan Wasserman (ARGC) in 2005.
Elliott Gray, golf operations manager, said: "We have had an immediate rush for entry applications for this event considering it takes place in more than four weeks time.
"We are confident of attracting a complete field and encourage UGA members to enter what we consider to be one of the flagship events on the domestic Ranches golfing calendar."
