Dubai: Promoters and organisers of the Dubai Ladies Masters have praised Omega, the Swiss luxury watchmaker, for its support ahead of the 10th edition that gets under way at Emirates Golf Club from December 9 to 12.

“We are delighted to be continuing our association with the event as it provides us with a fantastic platform to develop our brand in the region’s dynamic market and show the world we are a leading player in this sport,” said Raynald Aeschlimann, Omega’s Vice-President and International Sales Director.

“Since its inception in 2006, the Dubai Ladies Masters has established itself as one of the leading sporting events not only in the UAE, but across the Middle East, showcasing some of the world’s best golfers from both sides of the Atlantic.”

Mohammad Juma Bu Amim, vice-chairman and CEO of golf in DUBAi, the organisers of the Dubai Ladies Masters, said: “Omega has been a wonderful supporter of golf the world over and I’m sure with their continued backing the tournament will go from strength to strength.”

Omega, founded in 1848, 12 years before the first-ever British Open took place at Prestwick golf course in Scotland, has endorsement deals with golfers including world number one Rory McIlroy and Shanshan Feng, the winner of the 2014 Omega Dubai Ladies Masters.
