22-year-old Egyptian will be part of impressive field at Ladies Masters
Dubai: The forthcoming Omega Dubai Ladies Masters will have a distinct "Arabian flavour" to it with Naela Al Attar joining a star-studded field, confident of making her presence felt in the season-ending Ladies European Tour event at the Emirates Golf Club, from December 7-12. "It's all in the soul. If you believe you can do it, you can," said the top Egyptian golfer who has been handed a special invitation by golf in Dubai, the promoters and organisers of the 500,000 euros (Dh2,752,336) event.
"I'm really proud to be in this situation and I'd love to prove myself more," said the 22-year-old prodigy from Alexandria. "There are not a lot of female golfers in Egypt, but it's growing," said Naela, who earlier this year became the first player from her country to feature in the Duramed Futures Tour.
She is determined to use this experience as a springboard to greater things — hopefully, at the Omega Dubai Ladies Masters.
