Dubai: The two player team of Tom Kjaer (20) and Fin Theilgaard (21) scored a nett 60.7 to lift the Lexus Golf Day 1st prize at Arabian Ranches Golf Club yesterday.
The event was a two Player Strokeplay Scramble with an exact 30 % handicap allowance of the two player's combined handicaps.
The event attracted 27 two player teams, close to 60 competitors.
The winner's card handed in at the scorer's desk was a gross 73 with a 12.3 handicap allowance. Highlights included four gross birdies including two crucial birdies in their last three holes on 13 and 15 having started on hole 16 in this shotgun format.
Low gross
Other teams of note included runners-up Kurt DiNucci (3) and Johann Wasserman (2) on 62.5 having the low gross of the day a 64 with 8 birdies and no bogeys and third placed Damian Hitchen (10) and Robert Pactalla (24) with a nett 63.
