Dubai: Tatyana Mogire won the third of four fixtures in the Dubai Golf Summer Series at Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club earlier this month.

Another full field of 100 players braved the hot summer conditions to test themselves on the stunning Creekside course in the hope of winning one of the prizes sponsored by Titleist.

Promising junior golfer Mogire finished on top after scoring 43 stableford points, one ahead of runner-up Aurangzed Gazi.

Winning on a countback and collecting the prize for third place was Stuart Connor, who finished a further shot back on 41 points.

Dubai Golf Trophy amateur team member Andrew Smolak was on form to win the best gross round with 33 gross points and he also picked up one of the nearest-the-pin prizes. The other was collected by Jonathan Eastmead for his stunning approach to the short fifth hole, while long-hitting Creek member Simon Earl picked up the longest drive prize with his massive hit down the par four 12th.

Dubai Creek’s director of Golf Stephen Hubner said; “Every year the Dubai Golf Summer Series goes from strength to strength. This is thanks to our loyal players, who brave the elements, and of course to our wonderful sponsors Titleist. Thanks to all for making summer golf so much fun.

“The final event of the series will be played on the Faldo course at Emirates Golf Club on Saturday August 29 and we look forward to an exciting finish to the order-of-merit.”
