The format started in 2010 with just eight players and two schools but has now grown into 60 players representing 13 schools.

Emirates Golf Federation secretary-general Khalid Mubarak Al Shamsi, said: “One of our roles at the federation is to support initiatives that come from Junior Development Programmes within the UAE. The Dubai Schools League has grown in the past few years, and we are very pleased to see the progress and impact of this league.”

With the help from Mark Needs, a teacher at American School of Dubai, and other essential volunteers, in the past five months National and Expat junior golfers have competed in four events. The first three events took place at The Track, Meydan Golf Club, with the fourth and Grand Final event played at Arabian Ranches.
