Dubai: Jumeirah English Speaking School (JESS), with a team score of 214 points, emerged on top of the Dubai Schools golf League after the third leg of the event at the Track – Meydan on February 9.

Over 50 students from 11 different schools played in a nine-hole competition. Moving up one spot on Team Stableford leaderboard and in second place is Jumeirah College (JC), who collected 65 Team Stableford points in round 3 for a team total of 191 points.

Moving down one spot on the Team Stableford leaderboard and into third place is Dubai College (DC). After scoring 64 Team Stableford points in round three, DC have 189 team points. In a close fourth place, the Emirates Golf Federation (EGF) team are in fourth place with a total of 187 points.

Besides the Team Stableford Leaderboard, individual players were playing in two other categories, the Best Gross Score and the Best Stableford Score.

Winning the Best Gross Score category (after a countback) for the third round was Aaron from JESS by shooting a 36. Coming in second place was Jay from JC with a 36. The third place winner for the Best Gross Score was Kim from Dubai American Academy (DAA) with a Gross Score of 37.

In the Best Stableford Score category, Sacha from GEMS World Academy (GWA) came in first place after a count back, with a score of 20. Mahmoud Skaik from the EGF came in second place after the count back with 20 points. Rounding out the Best Stableford Score category coming in third place was Jay from JC with 20 points.

The Dubai Schools League supported by the Emirates Golf Federation (EGF) gives students and junior golfers the opportunity to play in a competitive atmosphere while developing sportsmanship and learning the fundamentals of golf.
