Dubai: Archal Ghai and Viren Varma won their respective divisions in the 10th Indian Independence Day golf tournament, organised by the Indian Golfers Society, at the Dubai Creek Golf and Yacht Club.

The two winners will be invited to compete in the Sri Lankan Airlines Golf Classic Tournament, sponsored by Chivas Regal, in Sri Lanka next month.

In case any of two the winners failed to make it to Sri Lanka, his ticket will be auctioned, Sudesh Aggarwal, chairman of the Indian Golfers Society, said.

Rising young star Nasha Sarkari took the honours in the ladies division while Humayon Shahryar won the prestigious gross prize.

Longest drive: K.V. Balachandra (seventh), Anish Malattiri (12th).
