Dubai: It was a phenomenal day of competition as Emirates Golf Club hosted the fourth Emirates Ramadan Open, supported by Callaway, yesterday.

In the Gross Division, Simon Dunn (Emirates Airlines) stole the show with a stunning seven-under-par 65, hitting six birdies and two eagles.

Emirates Golf Club Junior Matthew Turner, who also qualified for the Junior Series Final earlier in the week, claimed second place scoring even par around the Majlis course.

Mikhtar Mirza (DCGYC) took third place with 73, ahead of Dino Varkey (DCGYC), through a better-back nine score of 34. Afterwards, Simon dedicated his victory to his father who passed away recently.

The Net Division produced some amazing scores as well, with all three spots scoring under par. Nawaf Fawaz (DCGYC) was ahead of the pack by three shots, with help of a birdie 3 on the third hole to finish with a nett 66.

Emirates Golf Club players Darren Cole and Veneet Mohan both scored nett 69, but Darren's better-back nine of one-over-gross, secured his second place spot.

The Montogomerie Dubai's Matthew Prestwich claimed the "A" division (HCP. 0-12) prize with two-under-par nett 72, while Charlie Stricklin was one shot behind to take second.

For "B" Division (HCP. 13-28) the final nine holes proved extremely important as Kevin Roy and Daniel Hendry tied with a nett 70. Roy pulled ahead by scoring level par on the last four holes, including a birdie on 16.
