Dubai: Omega Dubai Desert Classic co-sponsors Dubai Aluminium (Dubal) will donate Dh50 for every birdie and Dh100 for every eagle to the Dubai Centre for Special Needs (DCSN) during next week’s tournament at Emirates Golf Club.
Children from DCSN will also attend the event and get the chance to meet the world’s top golfers. Last year the tournament produced 1,521 birdies and 33 eagles, but statistics could reach new heights in this 25th anniversary year with the participation of world No 1 Tiger Woods, European No 1 Henrik Stenson and former world and European No 1 Rory McIlroy, among other past champions.
