The Audi quattro Cup Middle East Regional Final promised to be a high flyer event in amateur golf from the start. Each participant had already proven their “Vorsprung durch Technik'' by being among the best in the qualification tournaments held in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Kuwait over the last few months.

The finalists gathered on May 2nd at the Dubai Creek Golf Club to compete for participation in the Audi quattro Cup World Final, possibly the world's most important amateur golf event taking place in Tenerife in October.

The weather conditions were initially dusty, but having come from as far as Kuwait, the participants enjoyed the opportunity for networking before it came to the crunch.

Having a better back nine, Tina and Julian Pfeil from Dubai prevailed scoring 42 Stableford points ahead of Manvir Kochhar and Amit Pateira from Abu Dhabi who also scored 42. Cliff Wisely and Natalya Wisely came in as a close third with 41 points.

Commenting on the event winners Tina and Julian Pfeil, German siblings who have been living in Dubai for a combined six years, said “We are very honored and excited to proceed to the world finals. Audi has done a great job bringing an amateur tournament to the region.'' After the exciting day on the course the participants celebrated with a lounge BBQ at the club house.
