Dubai: Denise Kennedy emerged as the winner of the 22nd edition of the Dubai Duty Free Golf World Cup with a two-day total of 89 stableford points. This edition of the Dubai Duty Free Golf World Cup took place with over 100 players turning out to compete over the two days in this two-round event. The format for the competition was individual stableford, and so the players had the chance to battle it out over the two days at Montgomerie and Dubai.

After 48 points on Day 1 at Montgomerie, Denise produced another fine performance and 41 points at Dubai Creek on Day 2, to be crowned the 2014 Dubai Duty Free Golf World Cup Champion.

In the Men’s Division, Abdul Aziz Al Hakim made the most of a home-course advantage and fired a superb 46 points on day 2, to add to his 39 point total from day 1 to be crowned the overall local champion with a total of 85 points. The overall visitor winner was Richard Kennedy with a solid two- day total of 78 points.

In the Ladies Division, Jacqui Barry was crowned overall local ladies winner while Nancy Miller was the overall ladies visitor winner with a superb 77 point total. The overall super senior title went to Dickie Pyne who produced a fine total of 72 points over the two days. Previous Dubai Creek Captain, Ara Nakhnikian, was the overall senior winner with a superb two-day total of 78 points. Dave Cattanach backed up a superb day 1 total of 40 points, with 37 points on day 2 to finish runner-up in the senior division.
