Abu Dhabi: Young Souk Choi and David De Angelo displayed impressive consistency to clinch first place with an overall score of 89 points in the recent Emirates Palace Ramadan Open 2014.

The race for second and third position proved a tighter affair, with Konstantin Zoebalas and Paul Stent carding 87 points, and Jung Bin Kim and Jung Hyeok Kim narrowly missing out with a respectable 86 points.

In all, 35 teams took part in the 36-hole Pairs Better Ball Stableford that took place across two days, teeing off at Saadiyat Beach Golf Club before heading to to Abu Dhabi Golf Club’s National course, for the decisive final day.

Competition was heated from the outset amongst the strong field of members and guests who were competing for the coveted Ramadan Open trophy and a two-night stay in Emirates Palace’s luxurious Khaleej Suite for each winner.

“The Emirates Palace Ramadan Open 2014 once again marked a weekend of impressive play, thrilling competition and great fun. Ramadan is all about bringing communities together and we were delighted to be able to do so with Emirates Palace,” said Abu Dhabi Golf Club’s Director of Club Operations, Scott McCaw.
