The 12th Annual Chivas Corporate Challenge golf tournament, organised by the Indian Golfers’ Society, will be held at Dubai’s Montgomerie Golf Club on Tuesday.

The event, which has been fully subscribed, will see 36 corporate teams, each comprising two players, battle it out for honours in a betterball stableford format with a three-quarter handicap allowance. The winning team will win an all-expenses-paid trip to Scotland for five days.

“We are delighted with the overwhelming response, which amply reflects on the growing popularity of the tournament,” said Sudesh Aggarwal, chairman of the Indian Golfers’ Society (IGS).

“With a trip to Scotland, the home of golf, at stake, I am sure it will produce an intense battle for the top prize. We are grateful to Chivas for their continued support to our society,” said Mr Aggarwal, who also lauded co-sponsors AGMC, Kohinoor Rice, Bank of Baroda and Rus Aviation for their backing.

The top teams will receive attractive trophies. There are also prizes for nearest to the pin and longest drives. The maximum handicap limit for men is 18 and 22 for ladies. The combined handicap should not exceed 36.
