Dubai: The Arabian Ranches Golf Club (ARGC) team took the lead after the first round of the DHL sponsored UAE JDP Junior Golf League held at their home course.

Garnering an aggregate score of 226 and nett score of 204, ARGC juniors Matthew Turner (71), Sean Thornberry (77), Robert Legnar (78) and Calum Mills (87) proved that ARGC is indeed their territory.

Turner also scored the best individual gross score of the day and Legnar the best individual nett.

With several rounds still ahead of them, ARGC team would need to work hard to be able to maintain their lead over the other teams. Sponsored by DHL, the UAE JDP Junior Golf League is part of the UAE Junior Development Programme and is supported by Byrne, Dubai Duty Free, Dubai Golf, Emaar, National Bank of Dubai and Pepsi International.
