Dubai : UAE National Team member Ahmad Al Musharrakh shot a sizzling three-under-68 to romp to a six shot victory in the Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club Summer Open sponsored by Ping.

Al Musharrakh displayed one of his most consistent performances to date of his blossoming golfing career by hitting 18 greens in regulation which included a run of 12 straight pars with his first birdie coming at the par five 13th hole.

He finished his round in style by birdying the last two holes which is no mean feat at Dubai Creek and won the championship in truly emphatic style to collect his winning prize of the latest Ping G15 driver.

Second place

Abdullah Al Musharrakh, Ahmad's older brother finished alone in second place with a solid gross 74, +3 over par and to continue a familiar sight of the talented brothers at the top of the leaderboard.

Dubai Creek's reigning Senior's Open Champion Ivan Lawson continued his good form at the Creek to finish in third place with gross 77, +6 over par by virtue of his level par back nine from Peter Shaw who also carded a gross 77. In division ‘A' Nestor Labis's nett 71 claimed the first prize of a Ping putter with Will Jarvis on nett 73 finishing in second place by virtue of his better back nine.

In Division ‘B' the ladies reigned supreme with Serifa D'Souza's nett 70 finishing on top and Joy Lirio's net 73 finished in runner's up spot by virtue of her better back nine.

Andy Andrews fired a superb iron shot on the 8th hole and Erwan Testard also matching it on the 16th hole to win the nearest pin prizes for the day. The lucky raffle winners of Legends Brunch and Aquarium's Aqua brunch were Adrian Raisbeck and Mitesh Desai.
