Abu Dhabi: A top local and international field of 104 nine-and-below handicappers will take to the National Course at Abu Dhabi Golf Club (ADGC) this weekend for the annual Abu Dhabi Motors sponsored Men's Open.

This year's 36-hole Men's Open marks the first time the tournament has been organised by Troon Golf, the world-renowned luxury-brand golf management company which took over the running of the UAE capital's flagship golf club last year.

The staging of the Men's Open also falls only weeks after Abu Dhabi Golf Club - the home of the European PGA Tour sanctioned Abu Dhabi Golf Championship - lifted two awards, including 'Best Golf Club,' at the inaugural Middle East Golfer Awards.

Tee-times from 11.30am to 1.30pm, and 7am to 9am, await the draw on the first and second days respectively.

Quality

"The 104-strong field is all in, the draw is being finalised and we have a fantastic weekend all set for the Men's Open," said D.J. Flanders, General Manager, ADGC.

"With all entrants playing off a handicap of nine or below - the lowest required handicap in the event's history - we've amassed a very strong field and it should be a weekend of top quality golf."
