Dubai: Mohammad Saeed Abdullah carded 37 points to win the Emirates Golf Federation’s final stableford monthly medal of the season at Dubai Creek Golf and Yacht Club on Saturday.

Ahmad Skaik came second on 35 points ahead of third-placed Saleh Al Ameri by virtue of a better back nine.

Abdullah Al Musharrakh won the best gross award with a three over par 74, while Mohammad Al Musharrakh won division A (0-14 handicap) with 33 points. Faisal Al Sayegh also won division B (15-28 handicap) with 35 points.

Mohammad won the adult nearest the pin award and Rashid Hamood took home the adult longest drive. Nearest the pin at junior level was won by Khalil Kashwani and the junior longest drive went to Rashid Al Emadi. Thirty five players competed in the event, making it one of the largest fields of the season.

At the event Ahmad Skaik, Abdullah Al Qubaisi, Saeed Al Baloushi and Khaled Yousuf were recognised for their accomplishments in 2014 as part of the UAE national team. Skaik, Al Qubaisi and Al Baloushi had won gold for best junior gross score at the GCC Championships, while Yousuf had won silver in the men’s gross category of the Arab Championships.
