Seventeen juniors competed in Friday's Tommy Fleetwood Academy monthly medal. The format was an individual stroke play over nine holes on a 50% course handicap. All golfers were playing from the orange tee markers.

Thomas Hart (18) was the winner of the net division with a score of net 32 (four under par). Hart handed in a fantastic card which was very consistent and bogey-free. A particular highlight was the run of form on holes 5, 6 and 7 when he made three net birdies.

Just missing out on the top spot was Jameel Choudry (10), with a score of net 33 (3 under par). Choudry had a troubling moment on hole five, where he made a net triple bogey. This had the potential to affect the rest of his round. However, he admirably kept his nerve and scored three under in the final four holes. This fightback got him in with the prizes and a fantastic display of commitment.

The gross division went to a three-way playoff between Jameel Choudry (10), Alexander Rushika (0) and Samabir Kochar (9). All three scored a gross 38 (2 over par). Samabir Kochar was successful in the playoffs, having birdied the hole to win. The playoff was on the first hole of the fire course, with all juniors and parents supporting the exciting finale.

Tommy Fleetwood golf teaching professional: Joseph O'Connor hit his ball into hole 8 to twenty feet for the Beat the Pro competition. Six people managed to get their ball inside Joseph's successfully. The winner by way of a draw was Alexander Rushika.

Whilst concluding the prize-giving presentation, Adam Stastny, Assistant Golf Services Manager, commented, 'On behalf of Jumeirah Golf Estates, I would like to thank everyone for their participation in these fun monthly medals. We saw some superb golf out there, and the scores reflect that.'
