Howdy Partner! Al Dhannah Golf Club last weekend hosted their Wild West Challenge, presented by Ola Brasil.

Located in Al Dhannah City, Western Region of Abu Dhabi, the 9-hole course which opened in November 2021 is in fact the newest addition to the UAE's growing golf course portfolio, and officially the first grass golf club in the western region.

Texas Scramble format

The format of the Wild West Challenge was a similar theme for the day, Texas Scramble! With 10% of each teams combined handicap being used for their shots. After all the team members had teed off, the team then decides which drive is the best. From there, all members of the team place their golf balls where the chosen drive ended up, with all members playing a second shot from this spot (4 drives were to be used from each team member).

From these second shots, one is chosen and all play a third shot from there - and so on until the ball is holed. Each team then returns one score for each hole and the team with the lowest score for the round wins!
