A solid number of 26 players took part in this weeks Thursday Curry Club at Jumeirah Golf Estates. The teams comprised of new and long-standing Jumeirah Golf Estates members along with some of the golf management team in the 9-hole pairs scramble over the Fire course.

Each team received a 50% course Handicap Allowance from 35% + 15% lowest to highest handicaps.

An eagle and three birdies

The winners of this week’s edition of the Thursday Curry Club were the duo of David Martin and Kieran Casey with a fantastic 31 net (five under par). The pair worked well to navigate the front nine of the Fire course which included an eagle and three birdies on their way to victory.

Missing out on the top spot by a countback this week and finishing runners up were regulars of the Curry Club, Alex Whayman and Alan Dobbins who also scored a great score 31 net (five under par).

The pairing of Alistair McIlroy and Noel O’Leary made up the top three, scoring a respectable 32 net (four under par).

There was a selection of special events on the front nine of the Fire course. Winning the 'Nearest to the Pin' on Hole two was Kevin Perrins with a cracking shot finishing only a couple of feet from the pin. Martin McGuigan took the 'Longest Drive' on Hole seven with an excellent shot straight down the middle.

Whilst concluding the prize-giving presentation, Adam Stastny, Golf Services Assistant Manager at Jumeirah Golf Estates, commented, “I am so pleased that you all could join us for today’s event. I would like to thank you all for your continued support of this event and to Kasturi for providing a great meal”.
