Abu Dhabi: The UAE senior national team left yesterday for Muscat, Oman, to start their week-long training camp preparing for the finals of the 2011 Asian Cup in Doha, Qatar, from January 7.
The UAE led by Slovenian coach, Srecko Katanec, will concentrate on physical training in Muscat. They will return home on December 30 to continue their preparations and play two friendly matches against Syria on January 2 in Al Ain and against Australia on January 5 before travelling to Doha on January 7 where they will play in Group D with reigning champions Iraq, Iran and North Korea.
