UAE national team to clash with South Korea in warmup game
The UAE national football team will play against South Korea in a warm-up match before kick off of the Asian Cup Finals on July 8 in Vietnam.
Dubai: The UAE national football team will play against South Korea in a warm-up match before kick off of the Asian Cup Finals on July 8 in Vietnam.
Initially the warmup match was scheduled against Indonesia on June 30 in Jakarta during the training camp in Malaysia from June 13 to July 4.
The UAE coach Bruno Metsu decided to play the last match against a country which is not very far from the training camp venue in Kuala Lumpur so that UAE players will not be exhausted or suffering from fatigue due to the long journey to Jakarta.
For this reason he preferred to play against South Korea instead of Indonesia.
The other three warm-up matches will be unchanged.
The first against Malaysia on June 21 and the second against Bahrain on June 27.
Both matches will be played in Kuala Lumpur.
The third match will be against Saudi Arabia on June 24 and the last against Korea on June 30, both matches in Singapore.
The UAE will leave for Vietnam on July 4 as the Asian Football Confederation asked the group B teams to be present there.
UAE play first match in the finals against hosts Vietnam on July 8, the second against Japan on 13th and the last match in group B against Qatar on July 16.
