Abu Dhabi: A hat-trick by Ebrahima Toure saw Al Nasr hand Fujairah a 5-1 drubbing in the day’s early game at the Arabian Gulf League at the Al Maktoum Stadium on Friday.

In another match at Emirates Club Stadium, Emirates and Sharjah shared the spoils with a 1-1 draw. Rodriguinho Marinho scored for Sharjah while German Gustavo Herrera equalised for Emirates.

Apart from Toure, Ali Al Ameri and Brett Holman completed the tally for the winners. The consolation goal for Fujairah was scored by Salem Obaid Syif.

Hosts Al Nasr got the breakthrough in the fourth minute when defender Al Ameri positioned himself well to nod home from a free-kick by Mahmoud Khamis from the right. In the 18th minute, Holman curled one in from the edge of the box and the ball settled into the net after beating the Al Fujairah custodian Ayyoub Al Mazouqi in the air.

Two minutes later, the lead was widened to 3-0 - this time through a well-crafted move from the right by Ivan Trichkovski who found Holman with a neat through inside the box. Holman then flicked it for Toure, who slot home with a neat placement.

Fujairah managed to pull one back against the run of play. A long ranger effort from a dead ball by Syif took the deflection from the head of Khamis before entering the goal. Even after the change of ends, Al Nasr kept the pressure on and Toure made it 4-1 with a clinical finish in the 74th minute. A handball in the 86th minute allowed Toure to complete his hat-trick from a spot.
