Abu Dhabi: Andre Senghor once again produced a giant-killing act and Bani Yas rallied past Al Wahda into the final of the President’s Cup football tournament.

Bani Yas were staring at defeat when they trailed to an Henrique Hugo goal scored in the 40th minute. But two minutes from the final whistle Javier Yeste beat Al Wahda goalkeeper Moataz Abdulla with a free-kick and the semifinal between the two Abu Dhabi teams went into extra time.

Andre Senghor, the 26-year-old Ivory Coast striker who knocked out Al Ain with an extra time goal in the quarterfinals, turned hero for Bani Yas again.

In the 102nd minute the lanky Senghor soared high and headed home the first of his two goals in extra time. And with a minute left for the 120-minute game to end, Senghor broke the offside trap and slotted home past the veteran Moataz to complete a memorable entry into the final.

Bani Yas now meet Al Jazira on April 23 after the defending champions had made it to the final earlier in the evening.
