Prague: The Czech football federation says it has asked police to investigate allegations of match-fixing in the country’s top division.
Jiri Golda, the chairman of the disciplinary committee, says the federation filed a legal complaint after a referee wrote two letters that suggested one match was fixed last season.
Golda declined to say what match was mentioned, citing a request from the police.
Referee Tomas Adamek sent the allegations to the federation last week, and Golda said they referred to one of the 11 matches he took charge of last season.
