Dubai: Tonight's Dubai Football Challenge at The Sevens is set to be the biggest since the tournament's inception with over 17,000 tickets already sold and the number rising steadily at venues across the country.

AC Milan face Hamburg in the showpiece clash, which is being held under the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai.

The event, sponsored by Emirates airline and DTCM, is part of The World Series Football.

Stuart Webb, its chairman, said: "On the back of two highly successful tournaments, this year's revamped format is set to be the most exciting to date.

"The match itself has the hallmark of being a classic game of attacking football with many of the world's leading players performing live in Dubai."

Nabil Sultan, Emirates' senior vice-president of commercial operations in Europe, said: "Dubai provides a wonderful setting for this match and we look forward to our new sporting venue The Sevens hosting these two teams."

Tickets for the event are priced at Dh100 for adults and Dh50 for children under 12.

Premier tickets, priced at Dh200, can be purchased from the venue.
