Dubai: Dubai will host a two-day Congress of the European College of Sports and Exercise Physicians (ECOSEP) in the first half of December.

The fifth edition of ECOSEP will be held at the Mohammad Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences (MBRU), bringing together the top sports health care professionals from across the world.

The Congress was announced by Sami Al Qamzi, Director General, Dubai Economy and Chairman of the Fifa Medical Centre of Excellence Dubai, in the presence of Marwan Bin Galita, President, UAE Football Association (UAE FA), at the MBRU premises on Thursday.

“We have put together an impressive list of speakers and specialists from the world of sports medicine for this workshop. Some of the top experts from Fifa will be here along with members of ECOSEP and experts from other Fifa Centres of Excellence,” Dr Mourad Ghrairi, from the Fifa Medical Centre of Excellence Dubai, told Gulf News.

“The UAE FA will be one of our partners along with the Barca Innovation Hub. This Congress will be a great benefit for clubs and sports bodies in the Gulf and Middle East region and we hope to tap this area as well,” he added.
