Abu Dhabi: UAE Football League leaders Al Ain have finished preparations for their match tonight against Al Nasr with hopes of maintaining their leadership.
Al Ain have shown great strength not only in attack but also in defence, with a clean net after 360 minutes of competition in the UFL.
Goalkeeper Moutaz Abdullah and strikers Valdivia and Elmago have frustrated their opponents all season.
"I am happy with my performance this season," Abdullah told Gulf News on Wednesday.
"It is not only my efforts. It is mainly because of the help of my strong defence and the fighting spirit that our coach, Winfred Schaefer created in the players this season."
Al Ain have scored 8 goals and conceded none. Andre Diaz, the Brazilian will partner Elmago, the Magician, tonight as Sufian Al Aloodi, the Moroccan, has left for Paris for treatment of his injury and will miss the competition.
"Despite the fact that Sufian is one of the best foreign strikers in the league, we are not worried of his absence because we have a rich substitute bench and all our colleagues are prepared to play whenever the team need their efforts. Moutaz said.
