Abu Dhabi: Ajman captain Boris Kabi scored a hat-trick for his side in their 4-1 win at bottom side Dibba on Sunday, while relegation-threatened Kalba earned a 1-1 draw at Dubai.

Dibba, who have only four points at the end of the Etisalat Pro-League’s 13th round, were no match for Ajman on a rain-sodden pitch. The visitors took the lead via a controversial offside goal by Iraqi striker Karrar Jasim, who then went from hero to zero after being sent off in the 75th minute for picking up two yellow cards.

Ajman’s Kabi inspired his team’s rout goals in the 42nd, 78th and 94th minutes, two of the goals coming after his team had been reduced to 10 men.

Luiz Fernando netted the home team’s consolation goal in the 69th minute.

Meanwhile, Kalba shared the spoils with Dubai on Sunday to boost their quest to escape from the relegation zone, while Dibba remained bottom.

Gregory scored Kalba’s goal in the 30th minute from the penalty spot, but only seven minutes later the home team equalised when their captain Ali Hassan fired home a rebound after goalkeeper Mohammad Othman had failed to hold a header from Magrao.

The draw was another positive result for Kalba, who had picked up only three points in 11 matches before new coach Ze Mario took over. They have collected four points in their last two matches to move from the bottom of the table to joint 12th spot, with Al Shaab on seven points.
