Abu Dhabi: Iran, runners up in the first two versions of the WAFF Women's Championships, will disclose their team today when they face Bahrain in the opener of their campaign.

Bahrain, who lost their first match against Jordan, will have to achieve a positive result to keep their hopes alive to reach the semi finals.

Losing tonight's match will mean their early return home.

Palestine

The same situation will be faced by Palestine in Group B who lost their opener against hosts UAE, 4-2 and need to beat Kuwait tonight in the second match to keep in the competition.

From the past results of the teams it is expected that Iran will win the encounter and face Jordan on Wednesday for the top place in Group A in a repetition of the finals of the 2005 and 2007 versions of the championship.

Both of the previous tournaments were won by Jordan.

Meanwhile, Kuwait is a mystery and will only show their potential today, with the advantage of having watched Palestine playing the opening match.

The UAE and Jordan are enjoying a rest tonight after winning their opening matches and will play their last matches in the first round on Wednesday.
