Glasgow: There is more at stake than revenge for Rangers when they take on bitter rivals Celtic in Sunday’s League Cup semi-final at Hampden.

The Ibrox club are still reeling from the fallout caused by the 5-1 thrashing they suffered at Celtic Park in August following the first Old Firm meeting in the league for four years. A run of four games without a win followed while hot-headed midfielder Joey Barton remains suspended from the club for his post-match bust-up with staff and teammates. The winners of the Glasgow derby will play Aberdeen in the final at the end of November, after Derek McInnes’s side beat Greenock Morton 2-0 at Hampden on Saturday in the other semi-final through goals from Adam Rooney and Kenny McLean.
