Dubai: Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Crown Prince and Chairman of Dubai Sports Council, has ordered increasing the capacity of Al Wasl sports stadium to 25,000.

Hamdan orders Al Wasl stadium to be expanded
Dubai club’s ground to be made 25,000 capacity and air-conditioned
The work will also develop the facilities of the stadium, including making it the first air-conditioned such venue in the UAE. Operations will include developing the seating area for the media and guests.
Shaikh Hamdan’s order is in line with the directives of His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
Dubai Sports Council has been given the responsibility of co-ordinating with Al Wasl Club to ensure the completion of the project.
Following its completion, similar projects will be launched for the stadiums of other sports clubs in Dubai in order to ensure that the facilities complement the urban and social development witnessed in all fields of the emirate.
