Dubai: Dubai will play host to the fifth edition of the Fifa Beach Soccer World Cup from November 16-22.

Dubai Sports Council, with executive board member Salah Tahlak as tournament director, is yet to decide on the eventual venue for this world class event. With the Jumeirah Beach coastline the ultimate choice, a decision on the stadium venue is likely to be taken next week.

As many as 15 teams from all over the world will join the UAE for the extravaganza later this year. Spain, Portugal, Italy, Russia and Switzerland have qualified from Europe, while Ivory Coast and Nigeria will be the African representatives.

North America will be represented by Costa Rica and El Salvador, while Argentina and Uruguay will join defending world champions Brazil as the representatives from South America.

Solomon Islands became the latest team to qualify when they won the Oceania group last month, while the UAE qualify automatically as the host nation.
