Dubai: Emirates NBD Social and Sports Club's annual Ramadan Football Tournament kicked-off with a match between the defending champions Falcons and Tafawouq.
Earlier the event was inaugurated by Abdul Hakim Bin Herz, general manager legal affairs and president of Emirates NBD Social and Sports Club and Mohammad Quahoor of Al Nasr Club at Al Nasr Club.
The tournament will run until August 23.
Matches will kick-off every evening at 10pm at the Al Nasr Club. A total of 21 teams from the bank and three invited teams are also participating in the seven-a-side tournament.
Abdul Hakim thanked the management of Al Nasr Club for providing the facilities at the Al Nasr Club grounds. He encouraged the employees of Emirates NBD Group to participate in the tournament in the spirit of brotherhood and sportsmanship, which is in keeping with the values of the Holy Month of Ramadan.
