Dubai welcome for victorious Egyptian football team
Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, honoured the Egyptian team for winning the African Nations Cup at the Maktoum Bin Rashid stadium in Al Ahli club on Tuesday night.

Dubai: Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, honoured the Egyptian team for winning the African Nations Cup at the Maktoum Bin Rashid stadium in Al Ahli club on Tuesday night.
The team was honoured in accordance with the initiatives of His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
In his speech, Abdul Rahman Al Owais, Minister of Culture, Youth and Community Development, praised the Egyptian players for winning the championship and said it was not the first time Shaikh Mohammad had honoured an Arab champion.
"Seven months ago, Shaikh Mohammad honoured the Iraqi team for winning the Asian Cup. And this is a message to all Arab athletes that they will be honoured by Shaikh Mohammad if they achieve great success," said Al Owais.
About 15,000 Egyptian supporters attended the gala night at the Al Ahli Club with singers from the UAE and Egypt taking part in the celebrations.
Egypt defeated Cameroon 1-0 in the final in Accra on Sunday.
Shaikh Hamdan presented the prizes to the Egyptian delegation and the players.
