West Bromwich, England: Charlie Adam and Andy Carroll scored first-half goals to give Liverpool a 2-0 win over West Bromwich Albion but manager Kenny Dalglish praised his squad's teamwork.

Adam put the visitors ahead from the penalty spot in the ninth minute after Luis Suarez was fouled by Jerome Thomas.

Uruguay striker Suarez didn't manage to add to his seven goals for the season, but he was the driving force in a confident Liverpool performance away from home.

Suarez sent strike partner Carroll through one-on-one with the goalkeeper in stoppage time at the end of the first half and the England international confidently beat Ben Foster in the West Brom goal for his second league strike of the season.

"Luis is a fantastic footballer," Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish said. "For us, there were a lot of excellent performances out there.

"There was not one player that could be disappointed with their performance. But within the group, there will be people who excel a little bit more than others. For us, it seems to be Luis quite often."
