Dubai: The draw for the Uefa Champions League quarter-finals will take place in Nyon, Switzerland, from 3pm UAE time on Friday.

Three Spanish sides, including 10-time champions Real Madrid, five-time winners and defending champions Barcelona, and two-time runners-up Atletico Madrid are in the draw, along with two German teams in five-time winners Bayern Munich, and quarter-final debutants Wolfsburg, who have never previously made it out of the group.

Fellow quarter-final debutants Manchester City of England, who have never previously made it past the last 16, but managed to do it this time around after overcoming Dynamo Kiev, are the sole representatives of their country — along with one-time semi-finalists Paris Saint Germain of France and two-time winners Benfica of Portugal.

The first leg of quarter-final matches take place on April 5-6, while the second leg will take place on April 12-13.

The pairings for the last eight are determined by an open draw, which means any club can be drawn against one another regardless of being from the same country. The team drawn first will play the first leg at home.

The semi-finals will be played over April 26-27 and May 3-4, while the final will be held in Milan’s San Siro Stadium on May 28.
