Abu Dhabi: Laszlo Boloni, the French-based former Romanian international is looking forward to a challenging stint after signing a one-year deal with newly-crowned UAE Pro League champions Al Wahda Saturday.

Boloni, who led Al Wahda's city rivals and current League runners-up Al Jazira to their first-ever Cup triumph in 2007 when they won the Gulf Club Cup, comes with an awesome reputation as player and coach and was the one who spotted and honed Cristiano Ronaldo during his stint with Sporting Lisbon.

The 57-year-old said the decision to come to Al Wahda was an easy one.

"I have had experience here and I am convinced that Al Wahda has the right organisation which is important to achieve results," he said at a press conference Saturday.

"It is never easy to come to a club which is a champion side but I am not afraid. I like this type of challenge which is a difficult challenge," he said.

Al Wahda prepare for President's Cup, Etisalat Cup and the one-off Super Cup, the defence of their Pro League title and the AFC Champions League and the Fifa Club World Cup.
