Abu Dhabi: Brazilian defender Da Silva is on his way out of Al Wahda before the emirate Classico against Al Ain on Sunday, according to a top official.

Abdulla Saleh, the former captain of the team and the manager of football in Al Wahda, said Da Silva might have played his last match for the club against Al Nasr on Tuesday, which they won with a single goal.

Al Wahda have already signed Binja and Jozel and are closing in on Alexandro, a third Brazilian, to strengthen their striking force after the club's worst ever start to a season with only two victories in nine matches.

Regarding Jozel, a top scorer in Brazil last season, but who has not netted for his new club in two matches, Saleh asked the club's fans to be patient.

He said: "I believe Jozel needs some time to adapt to our way of playing and to our way of living. He is a great player and we have to give him more time and patience."
