Abu Dhabi: Al Shabab will be looking to put their 2-0 drubbing at the hands of Al Nasr behind them and get back to winning ways when they take on Al Ain in the Arabian Gulf Cup at the Maktoum Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Stadium on Tuesday.

Al Shabab are currently in second spot behind Al Nasr in the Group A standings with nine points, and a win this week would help them book a place in the semi-finals.

Al Ain, on the other hand, are missing the services of many key players due to international duty. Their bench strength will once again be tested and it will be interesting to see if they can pull themselves up from the bottom of the table.

The Boss have lost all their previous matches — 1-0 in the opener to Kalba, 3-1 to Al Jazira and 2-1 to Al Nasr.

Al Nasr will be looking to keep their unbeaten record intact when they take on Ajman at Rashid Bin Saeed Stadium.

Ajman are currently placed fourth with four points from three matches and will have to win all their remaining outings if they are to have any chance of qualifying for the next stage. They come into the match having suffered a 2-0 loss to Al Jazira, who play Al Wasl on Wednesday.

Al Jazira have also struggled in this tournament and are depleted because of national team duty. They are currently sixth with three points from four matches.

Group B leaders Sharjah will be meeting second-placed Al Dhafra at home. This is expected to be a keen contest, with both teams separated by just a point.

In the same group, Al Ahli have their task cut out when they take on Bani Yas. Both teams can still qualify for the next stage.

Al Ahli have six points from four matches and they are tied with Bani Yas, who have played one match less.
