Dubai: Al Nasr are on their way to signing Iranian defender Mohammad Nasratti.
The central defender arrived in Dubai yesterday to undergo medical checks.
He could now fly to Slovakia to join the Al Nasr senior team training camp which began two weeks ago.
Al Nasr captured the signatures of two Iranian strikers towards the end of last season.
Reda Enayati signed from relegated Emirates club, while Mehrzad Madanchi moved from Al Shaab club in Sharjah. Both strikers were top scorers for their clubs last season.
Al Nasr have targeted Iranian players following a request from team coach Luka Bonacic, who coached Iranian clubs for four years and knows the players well.
Meanwhile, the senior team continue to train in Slovakia with both Enayati and Madanchi, who joined their teammates after being delayed in Dubai due to visa procedures surrounding entry to Slovakia.
