Dubai: Muriya Tourism Development, a leading Tourism Developer in Oman and the Official Tourism Development Partner of the 19th Arabian Gulf Cup, has awarded residential properties worth almost $2 million (Dh7.34 million) to the top performers of the GCC 19 as part of the Al Jazeera Best Player Awards.

It included the Best Goalkeeper, the Top Goal Scorer and the Best Player.

The players delivered outstanding performances in the GCC 19 matches.

All three categories were officially announced by the technical committee of the GCC 19 football competition.

Majid Al Marshadi (No 5 - KSA) was the Best Player, Hassan Rabe'ei (No 14 - Oman) was the Top Scorer with four goals in five matches and Ali Al Habshi (No 26 - Oman) was the Best Goalkeeper of the GCC 19 in which he managed to keep a clean sheet throughout the competition.

At a glittering ceremony after the final match at the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex Stadium, Cyril Piaia, Chief Executive Officer of Muriya, awarded the stars of the GCC 19 amid cheer and applause from an overjoyed crowd.

"It has been an honour to see the teams play in the spirit of the game. The best performers deserve nothing but the best and it is my privilege to present three of our prized properties which will be handed over by the December 31, 2009, at such a momentous occasion to the best players of the GCC 19," said Piaia.
