Al Ain: Ahmad Abdullah, assistant coach of Al Ain, is satisfied with the club's pre-season preparations after a practice session on Monday.
Terming the ongoing Al Ain international football tournament as "timely", Abdullah stressed that his players have now started to reap the fruits of undertaking a training camp in Australia.
He pointed out that the Riffa match showed the technical and physical advantages regardless of the match result.
Appreciation
"I express my deep appreciation to Shaikh Hazza Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, first deputy president of the club, first deputy president of the honorary board and chairman of Al Ain board of directors for his generous patronage of AFIC 2010.
"The technical staff led by Abdul Hamid Al Mistake will give opportunities to new faces against Al Itahad of Syria," Abdullah said.
Mohammad Afash, President of Al Itahad, said: "We have many new faces including four foreigners from Cameron, Senegal and Argentina as well as the youth players.
"The technical standard of the championship is good as well as the organisation of the tournament."
