Manchester: Sergio Aguero is taking a crash-course in English to ensure he enjoys Manchester more than compatriot Carlos Tevez.
City's other Argentina player, Pablo Zabaleta, warned Aguero before he arrived that he must learn the language and get to know the locals to make the most of his big-money move from Atletico Madrid.
Tevez's English has not improved in the five years he has been in the country and he has spent the last 12 months trying to get away, saying Manchester as a city ‘has nothing'.
Aguero, who cost £38million (Dh232.4 million), used a translator for his first major television interview, to be broadcast on Sky Sports ahead of the game at the Reebok, but is already showing an understanding of training-ground instructions issued in English. He is attending two-hour English lessons three times a week.
Zabaleta spoke no English when he arrived from Espanyol three years ago but is fluent now and said: "I spoke to Sergio before he came. It is very important to learn English, especially when you first arrive in this country. I told him Manchester is very nice with good people. I said he'd feel happy here."
